"This hybrid film - part documentary/ part fiction - tells the story of Arndt von Bohlen, the last offspring of a powerful German family. Unwilling to fulfill the expectations of both his family and their company, the homosexual son of an industrialist waived his inheritance of 3.5 billion marks. With an annual settlement of 2 million German marks, Arndt withdrew into another world. His lifestyle became legendary in the 1960s and 70s as the extravagant bon vivant who gathered a fairy tale royal household around him - while he remained a lonely and withdrawn man for the remainder of his life.
